1.[n.] 行賄（罪），受賄（罪）。為瞭非法影響公務活動，自願地付給或接受非法報酬的行為。公務活動包括政府官員的行為、任何職業上的和行政管理事務相關的行為。報酬是指金錢、財產、服務或有價值的任何其他東西或好處。行賄者是指為謀取不正當利益給予國傢公務人員等好處的任何有責任能力的人；受賄者可分以下三類情況：公務賄賂〔official bribery〕的受賄者、準公務賄賂〔quasi-official bribery〕的受賄者和業務賄賂〔occupational bribery〕的受賄者。如果受賄者是陪審員，在美國有些州定為賄賂罪，有些州則定為籠絡陪審員罪〔embracery〕。
